Mount Thielsen Wilderness and a complex intersection of four National Forests define this high-altitude landscape along the Cascade Range. This 2023 survey documents the headwaters and drainage networks of the Little Deschutes Wild and Scenic River and the Big Marsh Creek Wild and Scenic River. The terrain is characterized by a series of prominent volcanic features including Burn Butte, Clover Butte, and Hemlock Butte.
