Busby serves as the focal point of this high-plains landscape, situated along the winding course of Rosebud Cr. This 2020 survey illustrates a complex hydrological network defined by numerous named drainages such as Black Whiteman Cr, Two Moon Cr, and Eagle Feathers Cr, many of which carry names reflecting the cultural heritage of Big Horn County. The topographic character of the region is punctuated by Red Hill to the north and the prominent Busby Butte in the southeast corner.
