Stone View Oil and Gas Field anchors the industrial character of this northwestern North Dakota landscape, situated near the waters of Norman Lake. The terrain is defined by a glacial prairie pothole topography, where numerous unnamed wetlands and small basins accompany larger features like Bush Lake and Nelson Lake. A systematic grid of section line roads, including 106th Ave NW and 91st St NW, segments the territory, reflecting the enduring township and range survey system. Winding through the southern portion of the quadrangle, White Earth Creek provides a natural break in the geometric road network. This 2011 survey captures the region during a period of significant energy development, evidenced by the infrastructure surrounding the oil and gas operations and the connectivity provided by County Hwy-21 and County Hwy-14.
