Butte and the settlement of Williamsburg sit at the northern edge of this landscape, where the urban grid meets the industrial legacy of the copper kings. The map documents an area defined by its complex hydrology and infrastructure, from the Sewage Disposal Plant and extensive Tailings near Silver Bow Creek to the Radio Facility on the southern heights. Several historic burial grounds, including Mount Moriah Cemetery, B'Nai Israel Cem, and St Patrick Cemetery, provide a genealogical anchor for the community.
