Capps Switch serves as a central reference point in this portion of the Texas Panhandle, situated just south of the Sherman Co Moore Co line. The landscape is defined by the deep, winding incision of N Palo Duro Cr, which cuts through the otherwise flat agricultural plains. This drainage system creates a distinct break in the local grid of rural roads, including Hill Rd and Rd 28, which terminate or divert as they meet the canyon-like topography of the creek bed.
