Carmel Valley Village and the community of Robles Del Rio anchor this inland portion of Monterey County, where residential clusters give way to the steep canyons and ridges of the Santa Lucia Range. The Carmel River winds through the valley floor, fed by numerous tributaries including San Clemente Cr and Tularcitos Cr. The map captures a transition from suburban-style developments, such as those along Sleepy Hollow Dr, to the protected wildlands of the Los Padres National Forest in the southern reaches.
