Caulfield anchors this Ozark Plateau landscape where the Ozark and Howell County line bisects a terrain defined by deep hollows and prolific springs. The northern portion of the quadrangle shows a string of small settlements along the highway corridor, including Arditta, Egypt Grove, and Hocomo. This area is characterized by the convergence of several major drainages, including Bennetts Bayou and the Mirey Fork, which feed into the larger river systems.
