Lake Michigan dominates the eastern half of this coastal quadrangle, where the waters meet the Michigan shoreline at Deadmans Point. The settlement of Cedar River serves as a focal point where the Cedar River and Walton River converge before emptying into the lake. This 2011 survey documents the established coastal infrastructure along the m35 corridor, which connects the small community of Fox in the north to the southern river mouth. Local history is anchored by the Cedar River Cemetery, situated on the northern bank of its namesake river. The landscape is defined by its low-lying hydrology, with Deer Creek winding through the northern interior, reflecting the enduring geography of Menominee County's Green Bay coast.
