Cement Lake and the drainage systems of La Jara Creek define this high-altitude landscape in New Mexico. The 2010 survey illustrates a network of essential water management features, including La Jara Lake Dam and several small catchments like Skid Camp Pond, Juan Vigil Pond, and Upper Burro Canyon Pond. These water sources are scattered across a terrain shaped by prominent geological formations such as Dike Rock Ridge, which runs north-to-south through the western portion of the quadrangle.
