Chapman Lake and the elongated Bonnie Lake anchor this 2011 survey of a water-carved landscape in eastern Washington. The hydrologic network is the defining characteristic of this area, with Rock Creek winding through the center, joined by several tributaries including Sanders Creek and Buckeye Creek. The management of these water resources is evident through the presence of infrastructure such as the Chapman Lake Dam and the Chapman Lake Saddle Dam at the lake's southern end.
