About this map

Patriquin Quicksilver Mine and the Kings Quicksilver Mine highlight the industrial activity in the northern ranges during the early twentieth century. This survey documents a landscape of rugged canyons and isolated ranches where the Diablo Range and Temblor Range converge. The southern portion shows the emergence of infrastructure such as the Shandon Pumping Sta and the Paso Robles Road, which connected early settlements like Shandon and Annette to the larger agricultural networks of the Central Valley.
