The Chandalar River dominates this interior landscape, winding through a complex of braided channels as it flows toward the Yukon Flats. This 1990 provisional survey, based on photography from the late 1970s and early 1980s, documents the transition from the upland drainages of Crater Creek and Cornucopia Creek to the expansive wetlands of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

A small cluster of Cabins represents the only named settlement on the sheet, positioned near the river's northern banks. To the east, Tinjikuun Lake sits amidst the low-lying terrain. The map identifies several Pingo formations, distinctive ice-cored mounds characteristic of permafrost environments, which serve as prominent landmarks in an otherwise fluid landscape of shifting river bars and unnamed lakes.
