Chugach National Forest encompasses the vast majority of this maritime landscape, where steep coastal mountains meet the complex inlets of Prince William Sound. The terrain is defined by the massive Silver Glacier and the high peaks of Mt Denson and Billygoat Mountain. Water dominates the geography, with deep-water access provided by Port Fidalgo, Galena Bay, and Landlocked Bay.
