Warrensburg sits at the northern edge of this quadrangle, giving way to a landscape of rolling agricultural land and significant creek systems in southern Johnson County. The southern area is anchored by the small community of Cornelia, while the historic recreation area of Pertle Springs and Pertle Springs Lake marks the transition from the city into the countryside. The terrain is defined by prominent elevations such as Bristle Ridge and Pinnacle Hill, which overlook the winding path of the Clear Fork Blackwater River and its numerous tributaries, including Bear Cr and Fletcher Cr.
