Grass Valley and its network of mountain drainages define this section of the Nevada high desert. The landscape is marked by the seasonal flow of Cowboy Rest Cr and Rosebush Cr, which descend from the surrounding peaks toward the valley floor. The only significant transit corridor through this remote territory is Grass Valley Rd, which skirts the northeastern corner of the map near Corral Canyon Cr.
