1947 Map of Craggy Pinnacle

USGS Topo · Published 1965

About this map

Pisgah National Forest encompasses the high ridgelines of the Craggy Mountains and Black Mountains in this mid-century survey of Buncombe County. The landscape is defined by the winding route of the Blue Ridge Parkway as it traverses over Craggy Pinnacle and past Lane Pinnacle. Settlement is concentrated in the lower valleys, particularly around Riceville and along the drainages of Reems Creek and Beetree Creek.
