Snoqualmie National Forest dominates the high-elevation landscape where King and Pierce counties meet in the central Cascades. The terrain is defined by the significant hydraulic divide of the Green River Watershed to the north and the glacial drainages of the White River and Clearwater River to the south. This 2014 survey documents a wilderness area shaped by logging and water management, with the prominent mass of Grass Mtn overlooking a network of alpine basins containing Beaverdam Lake, Lynn Lake, and Stink Lake.
