Dahlen serves as the central settlement on this North Dakota prairie landscape, situated near the intersection of Main St and 1st Ave. The surrounding rural character is defined by a grid of section lines and the winding paths of the Middle Br Forest River and S Br Forest River. Genealogists will find particular value in the documentation of local burial sites, including Zion Cem south of the main township and the Middle Forest River Cem located near the eastern boundary. This 2017 survey also marks Cleveland Park tucked within a bend of the river, alongside the Prairie Trl which cuts across the county lines of Nelson, Walsh, and Grand Forks. The map provides a clear view of the agricultural road network, from Co Rd 2 to numerous numbered avenues that structure the farming operations of the Red River Valley hinterlands.
