Deep Creek Peak and the surrounding Deep Creek Mountains dominate this high-elevation terrain in Oneida County, Idaho. The landscape is defined by a network of drainage systems including Sawmill Canyon, Wheeler Canyon, and Reservoir Canyon, which channel seasonal water towards the south. Evidence of the area's utility is seen in the sparse but intentional road network, where Bull Canyon Rd and Knox Canyon Rd W provide access through the complex topography. In the southeastern corner, Bannock Creek marks a distinct hydrological feature. This 2010 survey illustrates the isolation of the region, focusing on the natural geography and the access routes like Portage Canyon Rd and Cow Canyon Rd that serve the canyon systems.
