The Strait of Juan de Fuca dominates this coastal landscape on the northern Olympic Peninsula, where small settlements sit tucked between the shoreline and the rising forested hills. Along the coast, Gettysburg and Gettysburg Ranch are situated near Low Point, a distinctive projection into the water. This 2011 survey documents the drainage patterns of the region, including the northward flow of the Lyre River, Murdock Creek, and Whiskey Creek as they empty into the strait.
