The Monitor Range dominates this portion of the Toiyabe National Forest, characterized by high-elevation summits and a network of seasonal drainages. Rising at the center of this landscape is Dobbin Summit, flanked to the east by the Red Mountains. Water sources are sparse but critical in this terrain, including East Dobbin Summit Spring and the upper reaches of Wadsworth Creek.
