Dublin and its surrounding Erath County countryside are defined by a complex network of small waterways and engineered water management sites. The landscape is carved by numerous tributaries including Cottonwood Cr, Resley Cr, and the branching forks of N Fork Little Green Cr. This 2016 survey documents an extensive series of reservoirs managed by the Soil Conservation Service, such as Site 15 Reservoir and Site 17 Reservoir, illustrating the region's historical commitment to soil stability and flood control in a terrain dominated by drainage basins.
