Dugway Rim forms a prominent topographic break across this central Wyoming landscape, where four counties—Natrona, Converse, Carbon, and Albany—converge. The northern portion of the quadrangle includes the edge of the Medicine Bow National Forest, a terrain of high ridges and narrow canyons cut by Deer Cr and Texas Cr. This area is defined by its drainage network, with the N Fork Little Medicine Bow River and the Little Medicine Bow River carving through the southern half.
