Eagle Eye Peak dominates this high-elevation landscape in southwestern New Mexico, where the peaks of the Big Burro Mountains meet the southern reaches of the Gila National Forest. The 2023 terrain is defined by a network of drainage features and watering points essential to this arid region, including Live Oak Tank, Bootleg Tank, and Burro Spring. While the northern sections are largely roadless, the southern portion is crossed by the Grant and Hidalgo County line.
