2000 Map of Eliza

USGS Topo · Published 2001

About this map

The unincorporated community of Eliza and the small hamlet of Petersville anchor this rural landscape in Mercer County at the turn of the millennium. The terrain is defined by the complex drainage systems of Copperas Creek and Eliza Creek, which carve deep, wooded ravines into the surrounding farm acreage of Drury and Buffalo Prairie. These watercourses create a dissected landscape where agricultural fields are punctuated by steep, timbered slopes and narrow valley floors.
