Featherston and Quinton anchor this 2018 survey of the Oklahoma borderlands between Pittsburg and Latimer Counties. The terrain is defined by the significant rise of the Sans Bois Mountains in the south and the isolated peak of Shoe Mtn to the east. A network of rural routes, including Ironpost Mountain Rd and Ford Mtn Rd, connects the scattered homes and farms across this creek-carved landscape.
