Fishtrap Lake and the surrounding Channeled Scablands of Spokane County are defined by a complex chain of water bodies and deep coulees. This 2017 survey shows a landscape where the Lincoln and Spokane County line bisects significant geologic features like Hog Canyon and Hog Lake. The settlement patterns here are sparse, centered on small locales such as Rodna and Croskey, which are linked by a network of rural routes including Fishtrap Rd and S Pine Springs Rd.
