By the early 1970s, the region's economy was clearly defined by a dense network of energy extraction, with dozens of sites marked as Gas Well, Oil Well, and general Wells scattered across the township lines of Beaver North and Beaver South. This industrial presence is balanced by legacy agricultural holdings like the Blakemore Ranch and Willow Creek Ranch, reflecting the enduring cattle and ranching heritage of Beaver County.

Evidence of earlier infrastructure is visible in the Old Railroad Grade running through the northern sections, marking a path no longer in active service. Local history and genealogy are anchored by the Overton Cem and another simply labeled Cem, located near the breaks of Willow Creek. Several seasonal waterways, including Elm Creek and Dugout Creek, carve through the terrain toward the main river channel, illustrating the drainage patterns of this semi-arid environment.
