Frazier Park and Lebec serve as the primary gateways to this mountainous high-desert corridor where the Tehachapi Mountains and San Emigdio Mountains meet. The geography is fundamentally shaped by the San Andreas Fault, which cuts through the center of the terrain, influencing the alignment of canyons such as Cuddy Canyon and Castac Valley. Much of the southern and western landscape is protected within the Los Padres National Forest, including the high elevations of Frazier Mtn and Tecuya Mtn.
