About this map

The Fremont city limits and its eastern environs are defined by the convergence of major waterways and regional infrastructure. The Platte River snakes along the southern edge of the map, creating a complex of sandbars and channels near the riverfront community of Woodcliff. To the north, the Elkhorn River meanders through agricultural lands, while the legacy of former watercourses is visible in the Rawhide Creek (Old Channel) that cuts across the landscape east of the city.
