About this map

The Missouri River forms the northern boundary of this landscape, separating Roosevelt and Richland counties while marking the edge of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. In the early 1970s, this area remained largely rural and defined by its drainage systems, where Charley Creek and its western branch carve through the northern bluffs. Evidence of early settlement and community life is sparse but significant, centered around St Bernards Ch and the nearby Lynn Cem.
