The city of Greenville and the smaller settlements of Sidney and Eureka Place anchor this 2017 survey of Montcalm County. The landscape is defined by its glacial hydrology, with numerous kettle lakes and wetlands including Sanderson Lake, Loon Lake, and the complex around Little Mud Lake. The drainage network includes the southward-flowing Flat River and Wabasis Creek, which cut through the agricultural and residential outskirts.
