Heart Butte serves as the primary settlement within this high-plains landscape, situated near the boundary where Glacier and Pondera Counties meet. The area is defined by a dense network of drainages and coulees, including the winding Badger Creek and the various branches of Whitetail Creek, such as N Fork Whitetail Cr and S Fork Whitetail Cr. Cultural landmarks are concentrated around the community, most notably Saint Anne Cem and the uniquely labeled Disneyland locality.
