Holly Beach sits at the junction of La 82 and La 27, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico along a narrow coastal strip defined by its proximity to the marshes of the Sabine National Wildlife Refuge. The landscape is a complex network of brackish water bodies, including Mud Lake, Oyster Lake, and the expansive West Cove. Industrial activity is evident in the naming of access routes such as the Mobil-Fina-Texaco Oil Field Rd and Fina Oil Field Rd, which cut through the wetlands north of the coastal settlement.
