Okanogan National Forest covers much of this high-elevation terrain, where deep drainages like Buckhorn Canyon and Oxide Canyon slice through a complex series of ridges. The drainage network of Gold Cr is particularly prominent, including the Middle Fork, South Fork, and North Fork branches that converge as they flow toward the Methow Valley at the eastern edge of the quadrangle. High points such as Hungry Mtn and Foggy Dew Ridge provide the structural backbone of this wilderness area.
