Okanogan National Forest defines the character of this high-elevation landscape, where a series of prominent ridges and deep canyons organize the terrain. The central spine of Foggy Dew Ridge separates the drainage of Foggy Dew Creek from the surrounding northern basins. To the south, Middle Fork Ridge and South Fork Ridge rise above the complex network of Gold Creek tributaries, including Middle Fork Gold Creek and South Fork Gold Creek.
