Hustisford sits at the northern end of this Dodge County landscape, where the Rock River exits Sinissippi Lake. The waterway defines much of the area's geography as it snakes southward, passing Wolfs Point and several named landmasses including Coles Island, Anthony Island, and Koch Island. Further east, the village of Neosho is situated along the Rubicon River, which widens into the Neosho Millpond, reflecting the importance of water power and mill sites in the early development of these Wisconsin settlements.
