Indian Valley and the surrounding high country of Northwest Colorado are defined here by a complex system of drainages and ridges during the mid-1960s. The landscape is dominated by the prominent mass of Colorow Mountain, which serves as a topographic anchor for the southeastern portion of the quadrangle. A network of seasonal watercourses, including Twin Wash, Teds Gulch, and the extensively branched Tschuddi Gulch, illustrates the erosional patterns typical of this semi-arid region.
