Juab sits at a geographic transition where the elevated terrain of the West Hills and Cedar Mtn meet the flat expanse of Juab Valley. This area is defined by a complex network of drainages and passes, most notably Sage Valley Pass, which separates the Middle Fork from the East Fork. The landscape is carved by seasonal watercourses like Chicken Creek, which winds through the valley floor near named local routes such as Slaughterhouse Ln and Crooked Ln. To the north, the topography steepens into Lampson Canyon and Wide Canyon. The presence of established land divisions and named infrastructure like Powell Ln reflects a history of ranching and transit through this corridor of central Utah.
