Lake Alan Henry dominates the central landscape of this Garza County region, where the reservoir's fingers reach into the surrounding Texas plains. Formed by the damming of the Double Mountain Fork Brazos River, the lake is fed by a network of drainage features including Kildugan Creek to the north and the seasonal waters of Skunk Hollow and Cat Hollow. The terrain is characterized by the distinct elevation of Cedar Hill and a series of winding watercourses such as Little Grape Creek and Gobbler Creek that carve through the dry environment.
