Kaibito serves as a central hub for this high-desert region of Coconino County, situated at the intersection of Indian Rte 21 and Navajo Svc Rte 21. The settlement is defined by its placement between the sprawling Kaibito Plateau to the south and the dramatic rise of White Mesa in the east. The landscape is carved by the winding course of Kaibito Creek, which flows through the heart of the quadrangle alongside ancient water sources such as Shonto Spring and Kaibito Spring.
