The N Fork Red River creates a significant break in the landscape as it flows through the southern half of this Beckham County quadrangle. This 2016 survey documents the river’s wide, braided channel and the surrounding wetlands identified by the FWS National Wetlands Inventory. To the north, the terrain is cut by the winding course of Salt Cr, which drains toward the larger river system.
