About this map

Cook Inlet defines the western margin of this territory, where the Sterling Highway traces the coastline past the Clam Gulch Store. This mid-century survey captures a landscape dominated by the drainage networks of the Ninilchik River, Crooked Creek, and the Kasilof River, which flows out of Tustumena Lake at the northeastern corner. Much of the eastern portion is set aside as the Kenai National Moose Range, characterized by dense topographic contours that rise away from the coastal flats.
