Lake Fryer and its surrounding drainages define this portion of Ochiltree County in the northern Texas Panhandle. The landscape is marked by the branching tributaries of Wolf Cr and Northup Cr, which carve a complex network of draws into the High Plains. Transportation in this part of the county relies on a grid of rural routes including Co RD U and Co RD 25, while the diagonal path of Highway 83 provides the primary transit corridor through the region. This 2019 survey by the U.S. Geological Survey documents the modern configuration of local water resources and the precise layout of the county road system as it serves the agricultural and ranching interests of the Panhandle.
