The Red River defines the winding border between Oklahoma and Texas, cutting through a landscape of sharp bluffs and deep draws. Near the northern bank, the settlement of Leon sits on the higher ground of Love County, while the community of Bulcher is situated further south in the upland terrain of Cooke County. This area is characterized by its numerous small drainages, including Mountain Cr, Bingham Cr, and Camp Cr, which have carved out distinctive features such as Cobb Hollow and Owl Hollow.
