The divide between Lane and Douglas counties carves through a landscape defined by its intricate drainage networks and timber access roads. The Siuslaw River and its numerous tributaries, including Little Siuslaw Cr and S Fork Siuslaw River, dominate the northern half of the sheet, while the headwaters of the Smith River emerge in the south. This 2014 survey documents the modern state of these critical Oregon watersheds, showing the concentration of rural infrastructure along Siuslaw River Rd and Letz Creek Rd.
