The Rappahannock River shapes the southwestern edge of this Northern Neck landscape, where the tidal fingers of Mulberry Creek and Deep Creek reach into a network of farms and small settlements. The community of Lively serves as a local hub near the eastern border, supported by the Lively Sch and a cluster of nearby rural congregations including Beulah Ch and Bethel Ch. Further west toward the water, the historic riverine character of the county is evident at Morattico and Griffins Landing.
