New Miami Colony Ln and Frances Heights anchor the human geography of this high plains landscape at the border of Pondera and Teton Counties. The area is defined by the complex drainage of the Dry Fork Marias River, which splits into numerous branches including the N Fork Dry Fork Marias River, Middle Fork Dry Fork Marias River, and S Fork Dry Fork Marias River. These waterways carve deep coulees through the terrain, most notably at Lone Man Coulee.
