Okanogan National Forest defines this high-elevation landscape, where the headwaters of the Lost River and Monument Creek carve through the Pasayten Wilderness area. The topography is dominated by a series of dramatic summits and ridges, including the central Lost Peak and the southern Pistol Peaks. This 2020 survey illustrates a complex hydrologic network of alpine basins, such as those containing Lake of the Woods and Johnny Lakes, which feed the drainages of Rampart Cr and Billy Cr.
