Lynn sits at the northern edge of this high-elevation landscape, where the Raft River Mountains meet the Junction Valley. The area is characterized by a complex network of peaks and passes, including the Dove Creek Mountains and the Grouse Creek Mountains. Water management is central to the area's geography, visible through the Lynn Reservoir and numerous scattered springs such as Chambers Spring, Rocky Canyon Spring, and Clarks Basin Spring.
